About VernoniaAid

VernoniaAid was started by the Cascade High School principal, Walter McGregor, after the town of Vernonia was hit by flooding again. It initially started through the Cascade High School e-mail list and has grown to a community wide effort to provide aid for the flood victims of Vernonia.

So far we have over 200 volunteers actively helping flood victims. Their responsibilities range from collecting supplies to starting fundraisers to raise money. Volunteers come from all walks of life and you can be one too.

Several local businesses have chipped in. Bob & Bob Construction, a local construction company has provided aid in the form of dump trucks and other construction equipment to get running water, electricity, and other utilities back on line.
