Scala Tutorial

Just worked my way through the Scala Tutorial (PDF). It’s an interesting language so far. It mixes my favorite parts of functional and object oriented languages in an elegant way. I’ll have to write something in it to see if the imperative aspects of the language ruin the functional aspects for me though. Next up: Scala by Example (PDF).

Stupid ZoneAlarm Download Manager

To download ZoneAlarm, you have to go through a download manager which is very unfortunate because this wasn’t the case in the past and I hate download managers. However, if that’s the way they want to play, fine by me—except when the download manager can’t find the download! Fortunately they have release history page with direct download links.
