Related Posts Widget shows a list of posts with similar tags to the current post. The widget is only shown on single post pages. That is, it is only shown when is_single() returns true.

Great widget! Does exactly what I was looking for in a simple and elegant way.
Just one little bug for you – the ‘Number of Posts’ option wasn’t working. It looks like you are using the id ‘num’ to store the value but on line 57 when you set the showposts argument you use the id ‘num_posts’. I changed that just to ‘num’ and it works.

This is exactly what I have been looking for, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work with the latest version of WordPress.
Not working for me either. I have 2 articles on Amelia Earhart and neither of them are being picked up by this plugin. Hope we can get this fixed as I believe this has the potential to be a great plugin.

Stefan, It only shows up when you’re viewing a single post.
No, nothing shows up on my single posts even though I activate the plugin and add it as a widget.
Maybe something changed in the latest version of WordPress.
The only other possibility I can think of is that your posts don’t have any shared tags. The plugin works by searching for other posts that have at least one tag in common with the current post.

Great widget, I have installed it my blog:ip250 . It’s in chinses, so maybe you can’t read it.
I found that the widget only support tag related algorithm, which maybe a little simple i think. Have you planned to release more advanced version?
