MIT - Day 1
The flight from Portland to Chicago was killer. I had Warcraft III to hold me over for the first hour or two but my laptop battery died and I had to suffer through the rest of the flight. What was really stupid is that the pilot missed the runway (that 4000 ft long strip of concrete that’s so hard to see) and we had to waste another thirty minutes circling back for another attempt. When we reached O’Hare International Airport we ate lunch and then hopped on another plane to Boston. The flight back is going to be even worse: Boston to San Francisco to Portland. The entire team is here though, safe and sound.
We haven’t done anything yet besides check into our tiny dorms which appear to have been designed for hobbits. I wish I was joking when I say that but it’s true. Luke’s, Parker’s, and my room are tiny while everybody else gets human sized rooms. I noticed a trend: all the Asians got small rooms. The girl’s doubled up and they have massive rooms… One thing all the rooms have in common though is the awful smell.

We haven’t had a chance to wander around and sight see much, but we did see this rather impressive piece of architecture on our way to dinner (we had Italian food if you’re curious).

That’s all for now. We start doing stuff tomorrow so maybe I’ll have more to post about then.
