SAT Craziness and Barlow Double-Header
Yesterday was a busy day. I took the SAT, which lasted far too long. They should have laws against testing for four and a half hours. The sad thing is I didn’t feel I accomplished anything after I completed the test. It wasn’t very hard, just very very long. I forgot to bring my calculator and it turns out I didn’t need it anyways. There isn’t any math on the SAT you can’t do in your head or on paper in a few short seconds. The only “challenging” part I would say is the obscure vocabulary. They use a lot of words that people would never use in everyday speech. The essay might be considered challenging but to me it’s pointless. How can you expect anyone to come up with a thesis, support, and write a five paragraph essay in less than thirty minutes? They don’t even actually read the essays anyways, unless you call spending two minutes scanning over “reading”. The moral of the story: The SAT sucks and I hate it with a passion.
The highlight of the day was the double-header basketball game against Barlow. We came, we saw, and we conquered. Both the girls and the boys team won. The boy’s game was exceptionally good. There were two seconds left on the clock and it was tied up when one of our players sunk one from three point land. It was awesome. ![]()
