As you can see, things have changed—hopefully for the better. I decided to create that custom site design I had originally planned but couldn’t create due to lack of time. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the new design. The site is was flexible width and the CSS and XHTML both validate, so I think it’s pretty darn good in terms of accessibility. The original design was flexible width but there wasn’t enough whitespace so I decided to go back to fixed width.
One new thing you might notice is that there are now “sidenotes” (also known as “asides”) in the right most sidebar below the main posts! I’ll post stuff I find interesting there whenever I have time. There’s a special RSS feed for sidenotes too.
The site might appear quirky in some places so bare with me as I do some live debugging. If you notice anything odd please tell me so I can fix it. I have not tested the site on Opera so a thumbs up or a thumbs down from an Opera user would be nice too.
With that said, hope you like the new look. Criticism is welcome so don’t be afraid to leave a comment or two.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I’ll be on a plane in a few hours headed for Los Angeles to spend the holidays with my family. For some reason a lot of them live down there…
Anyways, happy holidays, I hope you have a good one.

Finally, free at last! Winter Break has arrived and now I get to slack off and be lazy. School has been crazy the last couple weeks with so many big projects being assigned. There was even a period where I was only averaging three hours of sleep; oddly enough I found that I was more awake than usual on those days…
Unfortunately, I have homework over the break. Some of it I don’t have to do, but will have to do after break anyways if I don’t. So I figure I will get a head start and finish it all and make it easier for myself in the long run.
I have to learn C++ in record time for InvenTeams too. That will be interesting. C++ is one of the most difficult programming languages to learn and I have to do it in a fairly short period of time on top of all my other obligations. I’m not complaining though, I always wanted to learn C++ but never had the motivation to do it until now.
Happy holidays

Blegh, life school sucks. I’m so swamped I haven’t had anytime to do anything I want. School is dominating my life and it won’t let go. I have an entire list of stuff I need to do and can’t find enough hours in the day to do it all. On top of that, homework has been keeping me up so late every night, that it has skewed my biological clock and I can’t sleep at “normal people hours.” Even on nights when I don’t have homework, I find myself up past midnight doing something or other.
I keep hearing people say that their high school years were some of the best years of their lives. I’m getting more skeptical about that each passing day. I dread the day I will turn look back on my high school years and say “Yep, those were good times,” because I can’t imagine what kind of situation I could be in to make me say that.
Actually, scratch that. I probably will look back and remember these years fondly. I’ve done a lot of fun stuff and made a lot of good friends. If that doesn’t outweigh the wretchedness of school, I don’t know what will. I only hope that I won’t lose touch with all my friends after high school—that would suck.
